Theory and the exam are open together — read as much as you need, then take the test when you are ready. The practical, the checkride and the certificate unlock in turn, each when the one before it is done.

Pass the theory exam
25 questions,
in random order.
The bank holds 25, so you will see every one of them — the order changes, the questions do not.
Pass mark 80%.
The answer options move around too, so the position of the right one tells you nothing.
Take it as many times as you need.
No time limit — the clock is not running while you answer.
Review every answer afterwards.

Fly the practical PIREP
Start ACARS before you push back and leave it running to the gate:
the flight is checked from what ACARS records, so a sector flown with it switched
off cannot be counted afterwards. When the PIREP is accepted, route, aircraft type
and the rest are matched against the items below automatically.
2
flights to fly,
0 done:
1. Base Training Sector
Fly one clean supervised sector demonstrating standard setup, automation management, and checklist discipline.
What to fly: aircraft type A32 — Airbus A320 (KLM VA) · at least 45 min block time.
2. Line Flight With Valid PIREP
Complete one revenue-style line flight with valid ACARS tracking, stable approach discipline, and an acceptable arrival outcome.
What to fly: aircraft type A32 — Airbus A320 (KLM VA) · at least 1 h 30 min block time · at least 400 NM.
