New Pilot Guide

From sign-up to the line

AirCrewCentral is one pilot account across eight virtual airlines. Bring your own simulator — MSFS, P3D, X-Plane or FSX. Every pilot starts the same way: a short induction, one type rating, and then the line.

1

Create your account

One form on the registration page: name, e-mail, airline, home base, country, time zone and password. There is no test before you join — your flying knowledge is checked later, in the Academy induction.

No waiting for approval. You are a Cadet from the moment you register.

2

Install vmsACARS and connect it

Open Downloads and grab vmsACARS. Install it on the same PC that runs your simulator, then sign in with your pilot ID and your website password. If it asks for the server address, enter https://www.aircrewcentral.com/.

Every flight that counts is filed through ACARS. Install it before you fly, not after.

3

Start with the induction — this is your first stop

Open the Academy and enrol on AirCrewCentral Induction. Short lessons, a theory exam, one normal flight filed through ACARS and a checkride. The course page shows the six steps and tells you which one is next.

Induction is free and it is what every other course is built on. Do it first.

4

Earn your first type rating

Pick the fleet you want to fly and take its type rating at the Academy — theory, exam, a practical flight and a checkride. The company pays for your first type rating in full. Your rating opens the aircraft you are allowed to book.

A rating is valid for 365 days. The Academy warns you 30 days before it runs out, and renewing costs a fraction of the first course.

5

Fly the line

Now the network is yours. Open the Contract Board, pick a chain that starts at your base and press Accept — it books the first leg. Prefer a classic schedule? Use Flights and place a bid instead. Fly with vmsACARS running; on landing it files your PIREP automatically, the flight is graded, fees are charged and your pay is calculated by the hour.

6

Grow your career

At 10 hours you leave Cadet and become Second Officer; First Officer follows at 70. Hours, rank, reputation and awards follow you across all eight airlines — switch between them anytime, and add type ratings at the Academy as you go.
