How to fly a Live Twin
- Pick a flight one to three hours ahead under You can still make these. An hour is enough to get ready.
- Click it and choose your aircraft. Any of our aircraft that reach the destination; the same type as the real one comes first. We book the same flight for you: real callsign, route, take-off time and flight time.
- Plan it in SimBrief straight from the booking page. The plan gets the real callsign (for example KLM1031) and an off-block 15 minutes before the real take-off — change it if your airport needs more taxi time. From the suggested routes take one marked Real World — real crews file those.
- Take off at the time on the board. It is the real take-off time, so push back early enough to taxi out. With real-world traffic on in your simulator, the real aircraft may be right there with you.
- Fly and file as usual with vmsACARS.
- Fly back like a real crew. After you land, this page shows Your way home: the same aircraft's real flight back, from 30 minutes ahead, and the tab Your airport with every real flight from there to our hubs.
