Dashboard
Menu → PRIVATE → Dashboard. This is the page you open first and most often. Blocks are ordered by urgency, not importance: things with a clock running sit above things that can wait.
Your header
Name, pilot ID, airline, and a rank chevron on the right.
The bar under the rank shows progress to the next one, with the hours still needed. Rank is earned by flight time only — nothing else moves it.
Five numbers underneath:

At and Base are often different, and that is normal — it just means you have not flown home yet.
Last report
The most recent report you filed, with flight number, route, aircraft, block time, landing rate, score and status.
Landing rate is your vertical speed at touchdown in feet per minute. Closer to zero is softer. Around −200 is a good landing, −600 is firm, past −1000 your passengers would have opinions.
Score is how phpVMS rated the whole flight out of 100 — it takes in the landing, whether you stuck to the plan, and fuel use.

How you fly
Four gauges over your last fifty accepted flights.

These are a mirror, not a test. Nothing is locked behind them. They exist so you can see whether last month was better than the one before.
Weather where you are
Live METAR for the airport you are parked at: wind, visibility, cloud, temperature and dew point, plus the raw report underneath.
The badge in the corner reads VFR, MVFR, IFR or LIFR — how much you can see out of the window, from best to worst.
The line at the bottom says how long ago the observation was taken. METAR is issued roughly every half hour, so "26 mins ago" is normal, not stale.
Active contract
Only appears when you have one. Shows where to fly next, how many hours are left on the deadline, and how many legs you have done.
The hours are the largest number in the block on purpose: it is the only thing here that runs down while you are not looking.
If your last flight did not count towards the contract, the reason appears here in red. Read it — it tells you exactly what to do differently. Full detail in Contract board.
Next in the academy
One course, not a list. The site picks the one that makes sense next: something you started and did not finish, then the induction course, then overdue recurrent training, then whatever you have not done yet.

Pilots on VATSIM and IVAO
Who from our airline is flying on those networks right now. Empty most of the time — that is not a fault.
JumpSeat Travel
Moves you to another airport without flying there. Type an ICAO code, press Check Price to see the cost, Travel to go.
Use it when your aircraft is parked in the wrong country and you do not want to spend an evening ferrying it home.
Airport Information
Type any ICAO code for its details, runways and weather. A lookup tool — it does not change anything.
Random Flights
A few flights from the schedule with a booking deadline attached. Useful when you want to fly and do not care where.
Active Bids
Flights you have booked but not yet flown. A contract books its next leg for you, so it will show up here on its own.
If you see a booking you did not make, it is almost certainly the contract doing its job.
Tour Progress, Passport, Awards
Tours are themed series of flights with a reward at the end.
Passport stamps a country when you land there for the first time.
Awards are one-off achievements. They arrive on their own.
None of these gate anything. They are there to be collected.
Leader Board
Four boards for the current month: most flights, most hours, softest landings, longest distance. Top five in each.
They reset monthly, so a quiet month does not follow you around. More in Leaderboards.
Recent Reports and Online Network Statistics
Recent flights by everybody in the airline, and how many people are online across the networks. Both are for looking at, not for doing.
